Cold Fronts Heat Up Sailfish Action

Report Date: January 30, 2008

The cold fronts have finally started to move through the Palm Beach area and with them an increase in sailfish catches. It has not been non stop but spotty. We fished the Jupiter Billfish Tournament and out of 50 some boats there were only 106 fish caught in two days. Many boats traveled 60 plus miles north and south to catch fish. These last two weeks have been good right off palm beach or a little south of the inlet. Kings are stil around but not much dolphin. When you do find the them they are small. Some bigger ones have been caught but one here one there during the tourney's. Most action has come using live bait
off the kites 120' to 180'
